Melon sage liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • 50 g sage, fresh melon sage
  • 250 g rock sugar, brown
  • 1 liter of vodka

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 84 days; Total time approx. 84 days 10 minutes

Wash the lemon in hot water, dry it, and slice it. Clean the melon sage as best you can, roughly chop it, and place it in a sufficiently large glass container with a lid along with the rock candy and lemon. Pour in the vodka and seal. This mixture will now stand for a good eight weeks, preferably on a windowsill. Shake it occasionally to help the rock candy dissolve. After this time, filter the mixture and pour it into a clean bottle. Now it all depends on how long you can contain your impatience. Usually, about four weeks of steeping is sufficient. However, keep in mind that the liqueur will improve the more time it is allowed to steep.
