Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 tbsp, heaped lavender, fresh or dried
- 1 tbsp, sautéed sage, fresh or dried
- 1 stalk of thyme
- 3 carnations
- 1 sprig of mint
- 1 piece(s) ginger, approx. 2 cm
- 6 tbsp, heaped white rock sugar
- 0.7 liters of Doppelkorn
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 10 days; Total time approx. 10 days 10 minutes
Peel the ginger, dice it finely, and place it in a large bottle (at least 1 liter capacity) along with all the herbs and rock sugar. Pour in the Doppelkorn schnapps and leave it on the windowsill for 10 days, tightly closed. Shake well daily. On the 11th day, filter thoroughly and pour into decorative bottles. The lavender and mint give it a very fresh, cooling flavor that immediately lifts your spirits. The ginger has a hint of lemon, and the cloves, sage, and thyme release their aromas very subtly. If you don’t like the color, feel free to add a small drop of green food coloring; it will look even fresher.
