Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g seitan (Seitanfix)
- 250 ml water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp smoked salt
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp nutmeg powder
- Gyros spice for marinating
- Oil for marinating
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Seitan-based alternative
Place the seitan mix and seasoning in a blender. Combine the water and soy sauce, add, and blend thoroughly. Divide the dough into four pieces and steam in a saucepan with a sieve for 45 minutes. Let cool. Then, cut the dough into fine pieces/strips with a knife. Marinate the finished strips in oil and gyro seasoning. Finally, fry the strips in a pan until golden brown.
