Marinated in whiskey and served with the marinade as a sauce!
Place the steaks in a deep plate, pour the whiskey over them, and let them marinate for at least 3 hours. After marinating, season the steaks with salt and coarse pepper. Fry the steaks in a pan with half the butter. Cooking time according to taste. Glaze the onions and garlic in the remaining butter in a separate pan. Add the honey and let it caramelize briefly. Reduce the heat to low. Pour the whiskey from the marinade into the pan with the onions, let it reduce briefly, add the cream, and heat briefly. Mix in the remaining spices and season to taste. Arrange the steaks on a plate with the sauce. Baguette goes best with this for dipping the sauce. If you want more sauce, double the ingredients.
