Tasty cheese in a minced meat and bacon coating

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g minced meat
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 dashes mustard
  • 2 tbsp Rub (Magic Dust* – recipe in the DB)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g bacon slices
  • 350 g Camembert(s) or soft cheese, e.g. Bergader Almkäse

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Mix the minced meat, breadcrumbs, mustard, egg, and Magic Dust into a batter. Arrange the bacon strips crosswise. 5 strips crosswise, 5 strips lengthwise. Distribute the minced meat on the bacon, the size of the cheese. Place the cheese on top. Now arrange the minced meat around the edge of the cheese, then fold up the bacon. Place the cheese in its minced meat and bacon coating in a casserole dish and grill indirectly at around 200 degrees Celsius. We use a casserole dish with a rack so that the fat can drain off. After around 45 minutes, slice open the top of the cheese and fold over the edges. Continue cooking for around 15 minutes. Serve with baguette and/or boiled potatoes. Place the cheese in its minced meat and bacon coating in the middle of the table and help ourselves. A grappa after the meal rounds it off. *Magic Dust recipe: http://www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/1458901250834443/Magic-Dust-Rub.html
