Chocolate sesame macaroons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g chocolate, grated, dark or block
  • 200 g sesame seeds, peeled
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 150 g sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g dark chocolate coating

Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan. Cool thoroughly. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F). Beat the egg whites with lemon juice until stiff peaks form. Sprinkle in the sugar. Loosely fold in the cooled sesame seeds, chocolate, and cinnamon. Fill a piping bag with a round nozzle and pipe small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes and let cool. Melt the chocolate coating. Dip the bottom of the macaron into the macarons and let them dry on baking paper. This recipe makes about 50 macarons.
