Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g cake (chocolate cake), ready-made product
  • 50 ml rum, white, can be omitted
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 100 g almonds, chopped and roasted
  • 500 g strawberries, washed and halved
  • 150 g cake (sandcake), ready-made product

Mix the pudding mix with the sugar and some of the milk until lump-free. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, remove from the heat, stir in the mix, and prepare the pudding, stirring constantly. Pour into a cold, rinsed glass dish and let it cool while stirring. Whip the cream until stiff and stir into the cooled pudding. Mix the rum with the orange juice. If children are eating with you, use only orange juice. Line the bottom of a bowl with the sliced ​​chocolate cake, soak it with half of the rum-orange juice mixture, and sprinkle with 3/4 of the almonds. Place a layer of strawberries on top. Place the sliced ​​sponge cake over the strawberry layer and pour over the remaining rum-orange juice mixture, then scatter the remaining almonds on top. Place the remaining strawberries on top and fill with the pudding. Cover the bowl with foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
