Ingredients for 4 servings:

- 200 ml juice (multivitamin)
- 200 g oat flakes
- 250 g quark (low-fat)
- 1 cup of whipped cream (approx. 200ml)
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar (to taste)
- 75 g almonds, sliced (thin slices)
- some sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes
with fruit, quark and cream
Please note: The quantities are only an approximate guide! Muesli should sit overnight (or for at least four hours)! Cut all the fruit into small pieces. Place them in a bowl and pour in multivitamin juice until all the fruit is just covered. (Guideline for the bowl: If it’s about half full with fruit, the bowl is the right size.) Cover everything with a layer of oats (to taste; I usually use a layer 1-2 cm thick). Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Mix with the quark and vanilla sugar. Carefully pour the quark mixture onto the oat flakes and spread evenly. Roast the almonds in a dry pan, sprinkle with a little sugar, and mix well until the sugar has dissolved (careful, it burns easily!). Spread the roasted almonds over the quark mixture. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and place it in the refrigerator, ideally overnight. Tip: We make muesli not only for breakfast, but also as a dessert at lunch or dinner, or as a snack between meals, so we like to double or triple the batch. It’s even been featured on party buffets. It’s also delicious if you spread 3-4 tablespoons of jam (like cranberry) on top of the oatmeal layer. It’s easier if you heat the jam slightly beforehand. Of course, you can vary the fruit as you like, depending on the season and your personal taste!
