Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
without alcohol with two types of syrup
For the first syrup, put the water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil briefly, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, set aside, and let cool. In a second saucepan, mix the water and sugar. Add the peeled and sliced ginger and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, let cool, and then remove the ginger slices. Place the hulled, stemmed strawberries in a tall blender and puree until fine. Pass through a fine sieve into a larger bowl to remove the seeds. Then add the lemon juice, 75 ml of the first syrup, and 3 tbsp of the ginger syrup to the strawberry puree. Anything left over can be refrigerated and used later. Now add the well-chilled mineral water and mix everything well. Add the strawberry slices and stir briefly. Add a few ice cubes to two or three glasses, depending on the size, and fill with the cocktail. If desired, add a lemon slice to each glass, or to the rim, and serve immediately.
