Best pasta bake in the world

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 3 slices of ham (approx. 0.5 cm thick)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • some flour
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 bag of cheese (pizza cheese or pasta cheese …) for topping
  • 125 ml milk
  • 125 ml broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the pasta until al dente. Preheat the oven (convection oven) to approximately 180°C. In the meantime, dice the ham. Prepare the sauce: Heat the butter, dust with flour, and pour in the broth and milk, heating until warm. Then stir in the egg, season with sour cream, and salt and pepper to taste (I also add a little curry powder and chili pepper, but it makes it a bit hotter). Bring the sauce to a boil. (The sauce should be very thick; if it isn’t, add a little more flour until the right consistency is reached.) When the pasta is done, transfer it to a large ovenproof dish, add a little butter, and stir in the ham. Pour the sauce over the pasta and spread it evenly. Sprinkle with the cheese and place it in the oven. Baking time: between 25-40 minutes (depending on the pasta). The casserole is ready when the cheese has melted and is slightly brown.
