My personal protein/fat snack before bed; low carb, healthy fats
Simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl and, if you like, season to taste. I personally put the bowl in the fridge before eating so the mixture firms up a bit. The protein/fat combination makes this snack extremely filling. The cottage cheese is particularly suitable for athletes as a snack before going to bed, as the casein (whey protein) it contains is processed quite slowly and thus provides the body with protein for muscle building throughout the night. The fat also supports this effect. The snack provides approximately: 465 kcal 4 g carbohydrates 27 g fat (only monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) 38 g protein You can save a little more by omitting the olive oil. This snack might sound a bit strange, but I enjoy it every night! Just give it a try.
