Homemade cream cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup of cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mix all ingredients together and let drain in a Tupperware strainer (or a colander over a bowl) in the refrigerator for about 2-3 days. If making double the amount (e.g., for a cream cheese tart), drain the liquid halfway through. Tip: The cream cheese can be used as a Bresso (see database) or blended with feta cheese, garlic, spices, and herbs, or with salmon or smoked trout to make a dip.
