Gingerbread cream with cherries or fruits

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g gingerbread pieces with chocolate
  • 250 ml milk
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 4 tbsp Nutella, heaped
  • 1 jar cherry(s) or fruit compote
  • 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • some whipped cream
  • some cinnamon
  • possibly Amaretto
  • possibly rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Boil the milk, stir to dissolve the gingerbread pieces, and remove from the heat. Stir in the sour cream and Nutella and let cool completely (if you want a thicker cream, crumble in more gingerbread). A little rum or amaretto will enhance the cream even further. Drain the cherries or fruit, reserving the juice and filling it with water to make 1/2 liter. Make a vanilla pudding and add sugar. Add the cherries or fruit and let cool. Ladle the fruit pudding and gingerbread cream into dessert bowls, alternating layers. Serve with a dollop of cream and cinnamon.
