Cream quark with sour cherries

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 190 ml cream (vanilla cream, preparation see below)
  • 110 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 125 g cream, whipped
  • 190 ml milk
  • 3 pts. vanilla sugar
  • 1 point flavoring (lemon sugar) or some lemon zest
  • 18 g cornstarch (Mondamin)
  • ½ jar sour cherries
  • 20 ml Amaretto
  • 25 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 8 g cornstarch (Mondamin)
  • chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Vanilla cream: Bring the milk and vanilla sugar to a boil and thicken with Mondamin. Once cooled, whisk the cream with a hand mixer until smooth. Quark cream: Mix the quark with the cream, sugar, and salt. Then fold in the whipped cream. Sour cherries: Drain (reserving the juice). Bring the juice to a boil with sugar and cinnamon and thicken with Mondamin. Then mix with the cherries. Layer the quark and cherries in glasses or a bowl and garnish with chocolate sprinkles.
