Herb sauce for fondue and more

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar mayonnaise (200 g)
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 small onion(s), grated
  • 2 tsp capers, chopped
  • 1 pack of herbs (8-herb blend, frozen)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Mix all ingredients well in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. My mother’s original recipe doesn’t include the eight herbs, but instead calls for plenty of parsley, chives, dill, cress, tarragon, chervil, and thyme. I think this sauce is simply fantastic, whether with meat, white bread, or as a dip!
