Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 gr. can/n chickpeas (480 – 500 g drained weight)
  • 1 large avocado(s), ripe, peeled, diced
  • 5 tbsp sesame paste (tahini)
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 2 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • e.g. olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Hummus with avocado

Drain the chickpeas and place them in a blender along with the avocado, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic cloves. Blend thoroughly. Add a little olive oil and season with spices, then blend again. It tastes great as a dip for vegetables, with white bread or pita, or even with falafel.
