Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 cl single malt whisky, non-peaty
  • 2 cl orange juice, freshly squeezed or direct juice
  • 2 cl grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed or direct juice
  • 1 cl lime juice, freshly squeezed or direct juice
  • 1 cl almond syrup
  • 1 cl sugar syrup
  • 1 piece(s) orange peel, organic
  • 1 pair of sour cherries with stems
  • 1 orange zest(s), organic

Instructions

Working time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 6 minutes

First, precisely measure the orange juice, grapefruit juice, and lime juice using a jigger or shot glass and pour into the shaker. Then add the almond syrup, sugar syrup, and unpeated whiskey, and shake with about six ice cubes for 20 seconds. Pour over ice into an old-fashioned glass. Squeeze a piece of organic orange peel over the glass and moisten the rim with it. Garnish with a sour cherry with stem or organic orange zest. Note: As with any cocktail, test the shaker to see if your individual balance of acidity and sweetness is right. If not, adjust with lime juice (= acidity) or sugar syrup (= sweetness). Be careful not to use too much almond syrup.
