Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter or margarine, soft
- 300 g sugar
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar
- 1 bottle of bitter almond flavoring
- 6 m.-sized eggs
- 300 g flour
- ½ bag(s) of baking powder
- 6 large apples, juicy, firm (e.g. Red Delicious or Fuji)

Cream the soft butter with the sugar until fluffy and no sugar remains. Gradually add the eggs and bitter almond oil. Combine the flour and baking powder, then sieve them into the mixture and mix everything together to form a smooth batter. Line a square baking pan with baking paper and spread the batter evenly. Distribute the peeled and sliced apples densely and fan-shaped over the mixture. Place the pan in a cold oven and set the oven to approximately 125°C (fan oven). Bake for approximately 60-70 minutes until golden brown. Turn off the oven and open the lid. Let the cake rest briefly, then lift it out of the pan onto a square cooling rack using the paper. After about 5 minutes, tear open the baking paper on one side and slowly pull it under the cake. Then do the same on the other side (pulling the paper forward). This way you can remove the baking paper without damaging the cake.
