Spicy feta

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • some fresh rosemary stalks
  • Paprika powder
  • chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • e.g. olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

ideal for grill or oven

Brush the feta cheese on both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with paprika, freshly ground pepper and/or cayenne pepper, chili flakes, and perhaps a little salt, so the cheese is well coated with all the spices. Add the crushed garlic and the freshest rosemary possible. Then, slice the peeled onion into rings and cover the cheese with them. Grill, but the cheese also turns out just as well in the oven. The main thing is that the onion can simmer a little in the oil and melted cheese, and that everything is warmed up. The best grilling or baking tray to use is a washed aluminum tray from a delivery service or a store-bought grill tray without holes. You can also fold up the edges of a double, rectangular piece of aluminum foil. The whole process goes faster if you cover the cheese with a little aluminum foil. Preparing the cheese the day before is no problem; on the contrary: This way, everything will soak in nicely. Perfect as a gift for a barbecue, the cheese will surely be devoured quickly.
