Tiramisu with apple and cinnamon cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g mascarpone or quark or yogurt
  • 200 g ladyfingers
  • 300 ml apple juice
  • 200 g applesauce
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • possibly hazelnuts or
  • possibly brittle or
  • possibly cinnamon – sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

for a small casserole dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm)

Mix together the applesauce, mascarpone, and cinnamon. Briefly dip half of the sponge fingers into the apple juice and place a layer in the dish. Spread the applesauce mixture on top, about 1 cm thick. Spread another layer of sponge fingers and a layer of cream on top of the first layer and refrigerate. If desired, you can sprinkle on ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, sugar, or brittle for decoration. Tip: Homemade applesauce tastes even better!
