One-pot pasta for the camping stove

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g pasta
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 50 g bacon
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 5 g basil
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • e.g. Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with tomato sauce and bacon

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Wash and finely chop the basil. Turn on the camping stove and increase the heat. When the pot is hot enough, add about 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the onion, garlic, and basil to the hot oil and fry briefly. Add the bacon cubes. Fry for a few minutes until the bacon is crispy. Add the canned tomatoes, broth, and pasta to the pot, stir, and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, until the pasta is al dente. Reduce the heat and season the pasta with salt, pepper, and a little chili. Turn off the stove and serve the pasta sprinkled with fresh Parmesan cheese.
