Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 180 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
- 2 eggs
- 50 ml milk
- 3 large apples
- lemon juice
- Syrup (hazelnut syrup), see recipe description
- Nuts, filtered nuts of hazelnut syrup
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Peel and quarter the apples, and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent them from overbrowning. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a round springform pan. Whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and milk until frothy. Then fold in the remaining ingredients and mix everything together. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for five minutes. During this time, core the apples and cut the quarters several times to help them cook faster. It will also look better. Distribute these on the cake. Then return the cake to the oven for another 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, scatter the nuts over the cake. After 30 minutes, test the cake with a skewer to see if it’s done. Note: The cake can be eaten hot or cold. It’s especially delicious when you pour a little hazelnut syrup over it. Or enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the hazelnut syrup.
