Avocado Dip

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 avocados, ripe
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • Salt
  • lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Cut a slit in the middle of the ripe avocados all the way around to the pit, then twist each half slightly in opposite directions to loosen one half from the pit. Scoop out the light green flesh from the skin with a spoon and place it in a container. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice to prevent the flesh from turning brown. Peel the garlic cloves, press them through, and add them to the avocado flesh. Add the finely chopped chili pepper and a pinch of salt, and blend until smooth. Keep refrigerated until ready to use so the garlic and chili, if present, can infuse. Goes well with Mexican chips, tacos, enchiladas, or simply on crusty white bread.
