Minced meat cakes with millet and garlic

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g minced meat, half/half
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes
  • 50 g millet
  • 100 g water
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 tsp marjoram, fresh
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. chili
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Simmer the millet with the water for about 15 minutes until the water is absorbed. Peel and finely chop the onion. Chop the marjoram. Let the millet cool and mix with the minced meat, oatmeal, mustard, onion, egg, marjoram, and garlic. Season the mixture to taste, form it into cakes, and fry them in oil. Serve with potatoes and vegetables, for example.
