Sauerkraut salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg sauerkraut
  • 1 apple
  • 2 slices of pineapple
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the sauerkraut, squeeze out any excess water, and finely chop it. Grate the apple. Dice the pineapple into small cubes and mix it with the sauerkraut along with the onion, cream, spices, and oil. Tip: If you don’t like pineapple, you can use baby corn or sweetcorn instead. You can also omit the cream and season with herbs instead.
