Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 onions
- 1 bunch of chives
- 2 cups of sour cream or creme fraiche
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 100 g ham, (country ham) mildly smoked
- Nutmeg, freshly grated
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Boil the potatoes in their jackets and let them cool. Peel the potatoes and mash them with a fork. Mix with finely chopped onions and the very finely chopped garlic cloves. Now cut the country ham into small pieces, mix well with the sour cream or crème fraîche and the finely chopped chives, and season to taste with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Excellent for parties and barbecues, but also suitable as a spread on bread.
