Chili vinaigrette

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 chili
  • 150 ml oil, neutral
  • 50 ml chili oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 50 ml white wine vinegar
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the shallot and garlic and dice very finely. Wash the chili and dice very finely. Heat 1 tablespoon of the neutral oil in a pan, gently sauté the shallot, garlic, and chili for a few minutes to allow the flavors to develop. Now add the honey and let it caramelize briefly, then deglaze with orange juice and white wine vinegar. Let the mixture cool, then stir in the remaining oil and the chili oil. Season with salt and pepper. It’s best to let the vinaigrette sit for a few hours.
