  • 75 g sugar
  • 50 g quark
  • 50 ml oil
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ sachet of baking powder
  • 5 oranges
  • 450 g quark
  • 150 g sugar
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 5 pieces of chocolate (After eight)
  • 2 bags of cake glaze, clear
  • orange juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

a fruity, moist cake with oranges and icing

Make a batter from the first ingredients, separating the eggs. Fold in the beaten egg whites at the end and pour the batter into a springform pan (I used a 20 x 30 cm baking pan lined with baking paper). Fillet the oranges, reserving the juice and setting aside for the glaze. Mix the remaining ingredients, fold in the orange segments and spread on the batter. Bake at 160°C (fan oven) for 40 minutes. Once cooled, break up the After Eight and spread on the cake. Make up the orange juice with water to half a liter and make the glaze according to the package instructions. Pour the glaze over the cake and allow to set.
