Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g rice
- 500 g sauerkraut
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 4 onions, finely diced
- 2 tsp cane sugar
- 1 apple
- 1 cup grapes, light, small and seedless
- 500 g minced meat
- 100 g ham, diced
- 250 g sour cream
- broth
- breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
Instructions

with apple and grapes
Cook the rice until tender and drain. For the sauerkraut, lightly fry half of the chopped onions in a pan with the rapeseed oil, add the sugar, and let it caramelize. Add the sauerkraut. Add a cup of broth and simmer covered for about 25 minutes. Brown the ground beef with the remaining onions and season generously with pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix the ground beef with the rice and pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Peel the apple, coarsely grate it, and mix with the seasoned sauerkraut. Fold in the grapes and diced ham and add everything to the ground beef and rice mixture. Mix the sour cream with 150 ml of broth and pour over the casserole. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake the casserole at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30-35 minutes.
