Nutcracker smoothie

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 halved walnuts or other nuts
  • ½ pear(s)
  • ¼ apple, sour, e.g. Braeburn
  • 1 tsp lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 50 ml milk, low-fat, ice-cold
  • 2 tbsp natural yogurt, 3.5% fat, ice cold
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • some crushed ice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the walnuts and add them to a blender. Wash and dry the pear and apple. Core them. Peel the fruit (keep a spiral of apple peel for decoration), chop them finely, and immediately drizzle with lime juice. Since the pear and apple pieces are too hard for most blenders, it’s best to sweat the fruit in a small saucepan and let it cool. Once the fruit is cold, add it to the blender. Add the milk, yogurt, and maple syrup or honey and blend until smooth. Add 2-3 tablespoons of crushed ice and blend briefly again. Pour the smoothie into a glass and sprinkle with cinnamon. Hang the apple peel on the rim of the glass and serve with a straw.
