Feta and mustard dip

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 250 g feta cheese or shepherd’s cheese
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 4 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dill tips, dried
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

Combine the quark, feta, and cream cheese in a tall bowl, add the spices, and blend everything thoroughly with a hand blender. If you don’t have mustard powder, you can crush regular mustard seeds in a mortar (the finer the better). You can also use an old coffee grinder. Be careful not to overheat the mustard flour (max. 30 degrees Celsius), otherwise it will become bitter. Let it steep overnight, then season again. It goes perfectly with saltine crackers or white bread.
