Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes, mostly waxy, sliced
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 400 ml milk
- 250 ml cream
- 1 small bunch of parsley, chopped
- some nutmeg, if desired
- 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
- some salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Dice the onion and garlic. Sauté in oil in a pan until translucent. Place on a deep baking tray. Add the sliced, peeled potatoes. Season the potatoes, toss with the onions, and spread everything evenly. Mix together the milk and cream and pour over the potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (no fan) for 25 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and mash with a potato masher. Mix in the parsley. It’s also delicious served on the tray. In summer, we often eat mashed potatoes with a fresh salad or as a side dish for barbecues.
