Beef leg slices in beer sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g soup vegetables and 4 beef leg slices (approx. 1.5 kg)
  • ¾ tube(s) tomato paste
  • ½ liter of beer
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Sauce thickener
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Brown the leg pieces and remove them from the pot. Brown the trimmed and finely chopped soup vegetables in the frying fat, add tomato paste, and deglaze with beer. Add the meat and pour in the meat broth. Finally, strain or puree the sauce to thicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 25 minutes in a pressure cooker, or about 90 minutes in an open pan.
