Hawaiian Toast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) pineapple from the can
  • 4 slices of toast
  • 4 pinches of margarine (sunflower margarine)
  • 2 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 4 slices of cheese (square Emmental)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, spread the margarine evenly on a slice of toast. Next, add half a slice of cooked ham, then the pineapple slice, and finally the cheese. Place the whole thing on a rack (lined with baking paper) in an oven preheated to 180°C. Once the cheese has melted over the pineapple, browning begins. When a brown spot forms over the hole in the pineapple slice, remove the Hawaiian toast and let it cool for 1 minute before eating. Experience shows that this baking time is approximately 6 minutes.
