Puff pastry parcels with apple sauce and pudding

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 pack of vanilla pudding powder with milk and sugar according to package instructions
  • 1 can applesauce
  • some cinnamon
  • some sugar
  • some egg whites, beaten stiffly

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Roll out the puff pastry and lay it flat. Cut it in half lengthwise, so you have two halves, and then cut each half in half three more times. You’ll end up with 8 pieces of dough. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (fan). Cook the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions. TIP: I stir in a little beaten egg white at the end to make it fluffier. Then stretch each of the 8 pieces of dough a little so that they’re longer than they are wide. Spread the vanilla pudding over all the pieces, along with some applesauce. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar, and tuck the edges of the dough over the edges. Place in the oven and bake until the puff pastry parcels are brown and have risen nicely.
