Kassel Slices in Puff Pastry

  • 8 Discs Smoked Kasseler (approx. 1-2 cm thick)
  • 2 roll Puff pastry
  • 1 Pc. Egg yolk
  • 6 Pc. Juniper berries
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • Black pepper
  1. Chop the juniper berries as finely as possible in a mortar or blender. Mix with a pinch of sugar and a little black pepper and use it to season the meat slices on both sides.
  2. Cut each roll of puff pastry into 4 pieces, place the meat slices on top, fold the pastry over and press together on the side with a fork.
