Spaghetti Bolognese with Whole Wheat Pasta

The perfect spaghetti bolognese with whole wheat pasta recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Mixed minced meat
  • 500 g Whole wheat spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 Onion
  • 2 Carrots
  • 100 g Celery
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 500 g Skinned tomatoes
  • 500 ml Chicken broth
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 pinch Sweet paprika powder
  • 20 ml Olive oil
  • 0,5 Glass Red wine
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan
  1. Peel the onions and garlic and cut into very fine cubes. Then wash, peel and finely dice the carrots and celery.
  2. This is now seared until everything gets a little color, then the vegetables are placed in a bowl and the minced meat is added to the pan. This is now seared until it is done.
  3. The tomato paste is now added and lightly roasted. Then deglaze with the red wine and add the vegetables. Stir in the chicken stock and tomatoes and bring to the boil briefly. Now reduce the Bolognese over medium heat until you get a nice sauce. The spaghetti are now cooked in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes until they are al dente.
  4. Finally, season it with salt, pepper and paprika powder. It can be served.
