Quick Knuckle from Roman Pot …
The perfect quick knuckle from roman pot … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 small Pork knuckle pre-cooked
- 1 piece Sparerips precooked
- 400 g 3-Minuten-Sauerkraut
- 2 small Onion in strips
- 2 Bay leaves
- 10 bruised Juniper berries
- Oil for drizzling on
- Pepper from the grinder
- 50 ml White wine
- Put the onion strips with bay leaves and juniper berries in the soaked Römertopf and spread the sauerkraut on top.
- Place the knuckle with the ribs on the sauerkraut, drizzle with a few drops of oil and sprinkle some freshly ground pepper over it. Finally pour in the wine, close the Römi and put it in the cold stove. Set a temperature of 200 degrees and leave the knuckle dish to itself for 60 minutes. Time enough to prepare a side dish.
- For me it was a mashed potato with a lot of onions. I will post the recipe for it here separately, because this hearty side dish also goes well with many other dishes.
- 4th note: I found the lonely (probably forgotten) ribs in my freezer chest – it was too good to throw away, which I never do anyway. And now it is well taken care of.
