Creamy Chestnut Soup
The perfect creamy chestnut soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 5 Carrots
- 1 Onion
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 6 Potatoes
- 200 g Pre-Cooked chestnuts
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 750 ml Vegetable broth
- 1 packet Cream cheese, honey-fig-mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- Peel the carrots, onions and potatoes, chop the chestnuts.
- Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onions and carrots for 5 minutes.
- Now add the potatoes and chestnuts, sprinkle with the sugar, caramelize, deglaze with the stock, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Finally stir in the cream cheese, take out some vegetables, set aside and puree the soup.
- Now season the soup with salt and pepper, place on a plate and spread some vegetables on top.
