Creamy Chestnut Soup

The perfect creamy chestnut soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 6 Potatoes
  • 200 g Pre-Cooked chestnuts
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 750 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 packet Cream cheese, honey-fig-mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Peel the carrots, onions and potatoes, chop the chestnuts.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onions and carrots for 5 minutes.
  3. Now add the potatoes and chestnuts, sprinkle with the sugar, caramelize, deglaze with the stock, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Finally stir in the cream cheese, take out some vegetables, set aside and puree the soup.
  5. Now season the soup with salt and pepper, place on a plate and spread some vegetables on top.
