Tomato Sauce La Rosin (TV Star Chef)

The perfect tomato sauce la rosin (tv star chef) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 piece Medium sized tomatoes
  • 3 piece Onion
  • 4 piece Garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 piece Bay leaf
  • 1 Branches Fresh or dried rosemary (1 tbsp)
  • 0,5 tbsp Thyme
  • 0,5 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 0,5 liter Vegetable or meat broth
  • 0,25 liter White wine, dry
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 Tl Chili Sauce (Sambal Oelek)
  1. Wash tomatoes, peel, cut in half, remove the green part and dice. Peel and dice the onion and garlic. Wash the rosemary, remove the needles from the branch and cut into small pieces.
  2. Put the olive oil in a hot pan and sauté the onion and garlic. Caramelize lightly with the sugar. Add tomato paste, rosemary, thyme and bay leaf and cook with it. Then add the tomato pieces and let simmer until the tomatoes are almost dissolved. If necessary, add white wine. Add the vegetables or meat stock, sambal olek and the rest of the wine and simmer gently until the desired consistency is achieved.
  3. (To bind the sauce, I have also used 2 heaped tablespoons of “Tomato Sauce and Soup” from Gefro.
