Kandis Sticks / Sugar Sticks / Tea Sticks
The perfect kandis sticks / sugar sticks / tea sticks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Candy sticks:
- 6 piece Wooden skewers, long
- 0,1 L Sugar syrup or syrup
- 30 g Rock sugar, coarse-grained
Preparation:
- Dip the pointed end of each wooden skewer into the sugar syrup or syrup and then carefully pierce or sprinkle with the coarse sugar. Place the sticks on a plate to dry. It goes even faster like this: so that the sugar grains crystallize and solidify, spread all the skewers out on a baking sheet in the oven and let them dry slowly. Repeat this process several times if necessary, then the coating will be thicker.
Drying time:
- approx. 20 minutes at approx. 80 ° C. Then switch off the oven and leave it in there a little longer until everything has hardened to the crust, if necessary let the heat moisture be removed by opening the oven flap. Temperatures that are too high would melt the sugar and burn it. The structure on the stick must be firm, knock off crumbling granules and place the barista sticks in a (nice) tea glass.
Use:
- For hot drinks such as tea, coffee, mulled wine and others as sweet accessories to stir. The different grain sizes and colors of the varieties used naturally also look good. Wrapped in cellophane, they can be given away as a gift.
