Quick Cucumbers

The perfect quick cucumbers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Green cucumber (cucumber or pickled cucumber)
  • 2 Medium-Sized onions
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Whole peppercorns
  • 1 Finger-Sized piece of horseradish
  • 50 ml Spirit vinegar
  • 50 ml Water
  1. Peel the cucumber, cut lengthways and cut into finger-sized pieces. Cut the onions into half rings, peel the horseradish and cut into large pieces. Put everything with the spices in a large bowl (with a lid). Mix vinegar and water and then add about 6 tablespoons of it to the bowl. Mix everything well and at least. Let it steep for 24 hours and season if necessary. Keeps in the refrigerator for a good 4 weeks in screw-top jars.
