Quick Cucumbers
The perfect quick cucumbers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Green cucumber (cucumber or pickled cucumber)
- 2 Medium-Sized onions
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Yellow mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp Whole peppercorns
- 1 Finger-Sized piece of horseradish
- 50 ml Spirit vinegar
- 50 ml Water
- Peel the cucumber, cut lengthways and cut into finger-sized pieces. Cut the onions into half rings, peel the horseradish and cut into large pieces. Put everything with the spices in a large bowl (with a lid). Mix vinegar and water and then add about 6 tablespoons of it to the bowl. Mix everything well and at least. Let it steep for 24 hours and season if necessary. Keeps in the refrigerator for a good 4 weeks in screw-top jars.
