Fresh Asparagus in Its Own Juice

The perfect fresh asparagus in its own juice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 16 Poles Asparagus
  • 4 Flakes Butter
  • 4 Flakes Salt
  • 4 Flakes Pepper
  • 4 Flakes Nutmeg
  • 16 Little ones Cherry tomatoes
  1. Peel the asparagus and cut off the ends. Lay out aluminum foil for each portion. Drape the rods lengthways. Top with flakes of butter. Add salt and fresh pepper and plenty of nutmeg. Washed cherry tomatoes as well. Wrap the packet like candy. Should be as tight as possible. Preheat the oven to 220 C. Let the packet cook for about 35 minutes. If the kitchen smells like delicious asparagus, the packets are done. I always hand them closed. Who likes small potatoes and ham with it?
  2. All recipes are published on Amazon as paperback and e-book under “Christian’s Caboose” in two books “Comfortable & Enjoy” and “Invitation to Taste”.
