Coffee Liqueurs
The perfect coffee liqueurs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Coffee beans
- 1 piece Vanilla pod
- 500 g Rock sugar brown
- 800 ml Grain, 32%
- Put the first 100 gr. Coffee beans, the rock sugar and the sliced vanilla pod into a suitable bottle (empty milk bottle with a capacity of 1 l) and fill up with grain.
- Place in a warm place (windowsill) in the corner and shake it once a week. After 3 months, the sugar should have dissolved, then strain the coffee beans over a sieve and collect the beginning.
- Put the mixture back in the bottle and now add the remaining 100 grams of coffee beans and, depending on your taste, also add rock sugar. Let it steep for another 3 months. (Now many will ask themselves … why not all the coffee beans at once? I can’t answer, it says so in the recipe and I made it for the first time, so if someone has an answer who has more experience with schnapps … I like to learn)
- Then filter and enjoy. A nice “give away” and of course to enjoy yourself. Tastes good in coffee, over ice cream, with dessert and also pure.
- I have also made one with 54% rum. The procedure is the same. In terms of taste, everyone has to find out what they want for themselves. I think both are good.
