  • 140 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 500 ml Cream
  • 550 ml Milk
  • 4 Shot Baileys
  • 5 piece Ripe bananas
  • 5 tbsp Sliced ​​almonds
  • Icing sugar for dusting
  • Butter for the mold
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Cut the white bread into slices, press them as flat as possible and cut them in half.
  3. Beat the eggs with the sugar and the pulp scraped from the vanilla pod with the whisk vigorously to form a foamy mass. Then stir in the cream, milk and Baileys.
  4. Roast the sliced ​​almonds in a pan without fat until they are golden yellow. Cut the bananas lengthways into slices.
  5. Brush a baking dish with butter. Then dip the white bread slices in the egg mixture and line the baking dish with it, place banana slices on top and sprinkle with almonds. Repeat until everything is used up – lastly, pour a layer of white bread and finally pour the egg mixture over it and press everything together.

  7. If you don’t like bananas, you can also use raisins or dried apricots. Instead of white bread, you can also use leftover yeast plait or Easter bread.
