Hamburger Labskaus on Toasted White Bread

The perfect hamburger labskaus on toasted white bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Floury potatoes
  • 500 g Corned beef
  • 2 Pc. Chopped onion
  • 5 Sour cucumber
  • 250 g Beetroot
  • 4 cl Beetroot juice
  • 2 cl Sour cucumber juice
  • 5 Egg yolk
  • 5 Rollpugs
  • 5 disc White bread
  • 100 g Butter
  • 50 g Salt
  • 10 g Pepper
  1. Mash the floury potatoes and add the corned beef cut into cubes. Chop the cucumber and beetroot and add to the porridge. If the porridge becomes too firm, gradually pour in the cucumber juice and beetroot juice.
  2. The consistency must not be too runny, but also not too firm. Pepper properly and season with salt. Toast the white bread slices in butter in the pan. Poach the 5 egg yolks. Spread the Labskaus generously on the slice of bread and carefully place a poached egg yolk and a mini rollmop on top.
