Butter Cake with Delicious Topping
The perfect butter cake with delicious topping recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

- 200 g Melted butter
- 200 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Sea salt fine
- 240 g Wheat flour type 550
- 5 piece Eggs separated
Covering
- 200 g Melted butter
- 200 g Sugar
- 100 g Flaked almonds
- 70 g Freshly chopped pistachios
- 100 g Freshly chopped pine nuts
- 5 tbsp Cream
- Grease a baking sheet and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Preheat the electric oven to 180 degrees (top / bottom heat).
- Dough: Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites into snow and chill.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it cool down a little.
- Beat the egg yolks, sugar and a pinch of salt to a creamy mass. Gradually stir in the flour and finally stir in the melted butter well.
- Pour the ice snow on top and fold in with a whisk. Place the dough on the baking sheet, prebake for 15 minutes on the middle rack and take it out of the oven. Prepare the topping while it cools down a little.
- Topping: Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add all other ingredients, stir and bring to the boil briefly.
- Now spread this mixture on the pre-baked cake and bake for another 20 minutes (this time can vary depending on the oven) on the middle rack at 180 degrees top / bottom heat.
- It tastes best when it is still slightly warm with a dash of freshly whipped cream (see third picture).
