Baked Chicory with Cheese

The perfect baked chicory with cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Fresh chicory
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth from the glass
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • Salt pepper
  • 100 g Cheese, e.g. Emmental, Gouda, mountain cheese depending on taste, grated
  1. Clean and wash the chicory, halve lengthways, cut out the bitter stalk in a wedge shape.
  2. Heat the coated pan with the stock, steam the chicory for approx. 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Preheat stove: top / bottom heat approx. 180 degrees. Circulating air approx. 160 items. Put the halves in a mold, pour the cheese over them, sprinkle the chili powder on top and bake for approx. 7 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and serve. As a side dish e.g. with grilled chicken breast. If it goes through as a solo main course even for me, then at least 2 more chicory.
  5. Well, I admit, this is a very simple, quick recipe, but the dish tasted good!
