Baked Chicory with Cheese
The perfect baked chicory with cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Pc. Fresh chicory
- 100 ml Vegetable broth from the glass
- 1 tsp Chilli flakes
- Salt pepper
- 100 g Cheese, e.g. Emmental, Gouda, mountain cheese depending on taste, grated
- Clean and wash the chicory, halve lengthways, cut out the bitter stalk in a wedge shape.
- Heat the coated pan with the stock, steam the chicory for approx. 2 minutes on each side.
- Preheat stove: top / bottom heat approx. 180 degrees. Circulating air approx. 160 items. Put the halves in a mold, pour the cheese over them, sprinkle the chili powder on top and bake for approx. 7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve. As a side dish e.g. with grilled chicken breast. If it goes through as a solo main course even for me, then at least 2 more chicory.
- Well, I admit, this is a very simple, quick recipe, but the dish tasted good!
